“Why do you keep calling me Kirstie, mummy? Kirstie is dead. It was Kirstie that died. I’m Lydia”.
Sarah Moorcroft was a very loving mother of twins, Kirstie and Lydia when one day disaster struck. One of her beloved twins, Lydia, tragically died, which pulled her and her husband Angus apart. The author, S.K Tremayne pulls you in with an exciting yet unbelievable twist. Sarah was just re-adjusting to her life again when her whole world came crashing back down. Her remaining daughter Kirstie claims that she is actually Lydia and it was in fact Kirstie who died. Sarah does not inform her husband of this as he can be aggressive, although would do nothing to harm his daughter. Sarah seems fragile next to him and at some points fears him. So, soon after the dreadful accident the couple decide to leave behind their horrors in London and move to a Scottish Island off the Isle of Skye – Torran. But, instead of clearing their heads and starting over, this island brings the complete opposite for them.
S.K Tremayne keeps the reader hooked the whole way through the book and creates another gripping twist at the end leaving you on the edge of your seat. I loved this book and was hooked from the beginning. It is very dark at times and can leave you feeling spooked. I was left in complete shock at the end of this book but I found it amazing.
