What is Numeracy?
Numeracy is the ability to use numbers to solve problems by:
- counting;
- doing calculations;
- measuring;
- understanding graphs and charts.
This includes the ability to interpret and understand the results.
Numeracy is an essential skill for life, learning and work. It can be organised into three broad areas:
- Number processes
- Money, time and measurement
- Information handling
