Trinity High School is very proud to announce that three of our S6 Community Involvement students – Andrew Buchanan, Aiden Gallacher and Scott Kerr – came third in the Secondary S4 -S6 category of the national 2014 Show Racism the Red Card creative competition. This was a fantastic achievement for the boys with over 2000 entries being received within the category.
Aiden, Andrew and Scott were invited along to the National Stadium at Hampden Park where they mingled with stars from the footballing world including Liam Craig, Hibernian Captain and competition ambassador, and were presented with their prize by red card Hall of Fame inductee Sanjeev Kohli, popular TV and radio personality.
Their creative piece will now be used along with the other winning entries to help promote the work of Show Racism the Red Card.
Trinity High School has enjoyed success in the creative competition on a number of occasions with Community Involvement students submitting entries as part of their tutorial work on community needs and issues. Like those other successful entrants before, Aiden, Andrew and Scott went that extra mile by completing much of their work in their own time. The school is very proud of their efforts and achievement.
