Parent Consultation – Priorities for Action 2011-14

TRINITY HIGH SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN: 2011 – 2014

PARENT CONSULTATION ON PRIORITIES FOR ACTION

In response to the Questionnaire issued by HMIe during the recent Inspection of the School, parents indicated a high level of satisfaction with many aspects of the work of the School as shown below:-

95%    –  Overall I am happy with the School.

94%    –  My child enjoys learning at School.

93%    –  My child is treated fairly at School.

89%    –  My child’s learning is progressing well.

86%    –  My child is encouraged and stretched to work to the best of their ability.

However 2 responses to aspects of our work were a little disappointing given patterns of surveys, consultations and open opportunities to contact the school:

68%    –  The school asks for my views.

63%    –  The school takes my views into account.

The purpose of this consultation is to agree ‘Priorities for Action’ for our next 3 Year Improvement Plan which will be informed by parents’ responses, as with pupil/student and staff responses, and advice offered by Renfrewshire Council, the Scottish Government and Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMIe).
